Alex Gilbert
Lead Pastor/Elder
Ever since he started following Jesus at 16, Alex has had a desire serve the church. He takes great joy in leading, teaching, caring for, knowing, and protecting the Zeal Church family. Coffee, basketball, hip-hop music, movies, and boat rides on the lake are some of his favorite things. He is happily married to his wife, Chanan, and is a proud dad to Addison (who is in heaven), Hadleigh, Kingsleigh, & Marleigh.
Mark Kraus
Elder
Mark accepted Christ's invitation to salvation at 21. His preferred method of serving the church is out on the streets, forwarding the message that there is forgiveness of sins in Jesus for all who repent, and equipping other Jesus followers to do the same. Mark has 3 children and is married to his wife, Lydia. In his free time, Mark enjoys cycling, playing music, and works full time as a software architect.
Darren narango
Elder
Darren is married to Kristie and they have three wonderful children. He loves to equip and teach whether that is at work, the gym, or especially in small groups or Bible studies. He has been involved in teaching for 15 years.

Chanan Gilbert
Worship + Tech Team Leader
Chanan is married to Alex, enjoys spending time with her three girls, and loves a good documentary. She has been involved in leading worship since she came to know the Lord in high school. Chanan owns a private therapy practice and works with Christians using Biblical mental health counseling. She has a great desire for others to have healthy relationships that reflect the gospel of Jesus.
LYDIA KRAUS
Hospitality Team Leader
Whether being active outside or cuddled up watching a movie, Lydia’s favorite time is spent with her two daughters, son, and husband, Mark. She has been a Jesus follower since her youth and is blessed to utilize her gift of hospitality to serve the church.
HEATHER SHELLENBERGER
Zeal Kids Team Leader
Heather and her family joined Zeal soon after it launched in 2020. They moved to Pennsylvania in 2012 and she currently homeschools her three children. Previously, they lived in Maryland where Heather taught in public school and served as a leader in kids ministry at their church. Heather loves teaching children the truths found in God’s word.
